Suicide/Depression Prevention and Nutrition Panel

This amazing educational workshop introduced attendees to different mental health resources and the importance of a healthy diet. Many times, correcting nutritional deficiencies and fueling the body with quality lean protein, fiber, minerals, and vitamins that are lacking is KEY to overcome depression and for optimal overall health.

A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR WONDERFUL PRESENTERS

Thank you to survivor, Mr. Rich Emiliano and to FSO Members for sharing their inspirational story and providing community mental health resources.

Special thanks to Wegmans for donating the healthy refreshments.

Walk for Life: Suicide and Cancer Prevention

Thank YOU to everyone who walked with us and helped to continue raising public awareness on our Nation's Health Crisis: Suicide and Cancer. Statistics show an increase suicide in cancer patients; with 45% of cancer patients feeling depressed and only 20% are receiving treatment for depression. It's critical to get professional help to treat depressive symptoms; eat healty; join a cancer support group to learn coping skills, receive resources, etc. Angel Lucy Wellness Project offers free monthly support meetings.

Special THANK YOU to inspiring key note speakers and to ALL the wonderful volunteers who made this great community walk possible!!
